OFFICERS

The Okinawa Seiden Gojuryu Karate Kobudo Hozonkai is governed by the following:

President – Kaicho

 C. Michial Jones Hanshi has been training in the Martial Arts since 1977. He is an internationally published author and retired Chief of Police.

Jones Sensei holds senior grades in Karate, Kobujutsu/Kobudo, Jujutsu, and Iaijutsu/Iaido. All awarded by well known Japanese and/or Okinawa based groups.

Jones Sensei was a member of the Gojuryu Okinawakan Karate-do Kyokai and Ryukyu Dento Kobujutsu Hozon Budo Kyokai and in that capacity acted as International President. He was a direct and Senior student of Kiichi Nakamoto, Kaicho. In an effort to spread the true martial arts of Okinawa, Jones Sensei also served as North American Director to the Gojuryu Okinawakan Karate-do Kyokai and Ryukyu Dento Kobujutsu Hozon Budo Kyokai for 10 years, and for 21 years was Vice President to the Sekai Dentokan Bugei Renmei. Jones Sensei is currently a member of the Okinawa Kobudo Renseikai and a direct student of Josei Yogi, Kaicho. Further he is a direct and senior student of Kenei Shimabukuro Kaicho and a member of the Okinawa Gojuryu Karate-do Goeikai.

Fuku-Kaicho (Vice President):

Curtis T. Jones Renshi began his study under his father C. Michial Jones in 1997. He serves as the one of the Instructors at the Hombu Dojo and has been certified in Okinawa by Kiichi Nakamoto Hanshi and Kenei Shimabukuro Hanshi.

 

Hisho (Secretary):

Amber Jones began her training under Mike Jones Sensei in 1990. She married Jones Sensei in 1993 and has assisted him in running his dojo as program manager and now acts as the secretary for the association.
